​At Children’s Thrift, we make consigning easy and stress-free. With our Drop and Dash process, you simply drop off your items and let us handle the rest.

How it Works

1. Drop Off Your Items:

   • Please call or send a message to schedule an appointment.

2. We Review Your Items:

   • After evaluating your items, we’ll give you a courtesy call to let you know what we’ve accepted.

   • You have 30 days to pick up any unaccepted items. Items not picked up will be donated.

3. Items Are Sold:

   • Items are sold during a 6-month consignment period.

   • Unsold items after this time become the property of Children’s Thrift.

4. Earn Money:

   • You’ll earn 40% of the selling price for every item sold.

   • Example: If an item sells for $20, you’ll earn $8.

   • Balances remain active in your account for up to 3 years.

5. Receive Your Payment:

   • Choose between store credit or payment by check.

   • Checks must be requested on the day of pick-up.​

 

What We Accept

Clothing

• We accept Preemie through Teen sizes.

• Clothing must be:

  • Folded neatly in a tote OR on hangers covered with a garment bag​

  • Freshly laundered, spot-free, wrinkle-free, and free of animal hair.

  • Free of consignment or yard sale tags/safety pins.

  • Properly packed, not inside out.

• Limit 2 bins per day for drop-off.

  • Please ensure bins are not overflowing and label with your first and last name.

• If you have 10 items or less, you can drop them off in a bag.

  • Ensure all clothing is folded neatly and wrinkle-free.

Your bins will be returned after processing.

Shoes

• We accept any size shoes (including teen sizes).

• Shoes must:

  • Look newer inside and out.

  • Be free of scuffs, marks, dirt, worn insoles, or stained/missing laces.

• Shoes must be dropped off in a bag.

Diaper Bags & Purses

• Must be clean and spot-free inside and outside.​

Guidelines For Spring/Summer:

• Bathing suits, shorts, skirts, jeans, dress pants, tank tops, short sleeve shirts, lightweight long sleeve shirts and button-ups, lightweight dresses, button-up sweaters for girls, hoodies, zip-up sweatshirts, pajamas (long and short sleeve), and footwear (children and teen sizes).

Guidelines For Fall/Winter:

• Skirts, jeans, dress pants, long sleeve shirts, dresses (short/long sleeve), sweaters, hoodies, sweatshirts, jackets, snow pants, pajamas, and footwear (children and teen sizes).

Additional Information:

Setting Prices:

• • We set the selling price for your items based on market demand and condition.

• Balance Inquiries:

  • You can check your balance in-store, by phone, or via Facebook/Instagram messaging.

  • Note: We do not notify consignors when an item sells.

• Authorized Access:

  • Only the consignor or an authorized individual can pick up earnings or use store credit.

• Safeguarding Your Items:

  • While we take great care to protect your items, Children’s Thrift shall not be held liable for loss or damage due to theft, fire, flood, etc.​

DISCLAIMER

• Items unaccepted for consignment must be picked up within 30 days of our courtesy call. Items not picked up will be donated.

• Unsold items after the 6-month consignment period become the property of Children’s Thrift.
